Non-latin text in advanced some flash activities would not display, narration upload fails on FireFox 2

    Hello,

    I have 2 issues:

    1. When I upload a narration with a FireFox 2.0.0.14, I get an error message

Cannot insert the value NULL into column 'ContentTypeID', table 'myUDUTU.dbo.Content'; column does not allow nulls. INSERT fails. The statement has been terminated

However, the upload is fine with IE 7.0.5730.11

    2. Cyrillic text would not display in target rollover flash activity (advanced screen). I suppose it's a font with latin-only layout. Quizes and other assessment activities are fine though.

And a question - is the number of JumpTos really limited to 4, or there's some workaround to increase the quantity?

    Thank you,
    Juri.

We'll have to investigate the Firefox issue.  Sounds like a bug.

With regards to the Cyrillic text - we haven't included non-Latin fonts into the advanced screen templates.  It's something we can do, but have held off because there are so many non-Latin alphabets (some with hundreds of characters), and to include them all would bloat the size of the Flash files that drive those templates by several megabytes, which would negatively affect the load times of those templates.  Cyrillic is one that we could probably manage, though, since the alphabet doesn't have too many characters.  We'll try to implement it in the next 2 weeks.  We'll consider requests for any other alphabets, for anyone reading this post.

We have a template for 6 jump-tos that isn't in general release.  I'll activate it for your account when I've finished writing this note.  You can also embed jump-tos into text using the text editor - making it so you can effectively have an unlimited number of jump-tos.
