    Searching Forums

     02-19-2008, 9:10 AM

I don't seem to find a search feature in these forums.  Am I overlooking it?

I was hoping to see if any other SumTotal LMS users are having problems getting Udutu courses to "talk" to the LMS.

We don't have the ability to search on our forum, unfortunately.  It's something we need to add, but haven't found the time to yet.  There are, however, no posts dealing with SumTotal.

What SCORM versions does your LMS support?  Are you exporting your course in the right version?  Many LMSs only support SCORM 1.2, and the myUdutu exports to SCORM 2004 by default.  You can change this through the course editor.

If your problem persists, I would be happy to investigate your LMS further.  I will need access to you installation to help out, though.  Contact me directly at knoesgaard@udutu.com if you can't get it working.

You can extract your course in SCORM 1.2 or SCORM 2004 format.  You then upload your course as a SCORM package to Blackboard.  I'm not very familiar with Blackboard, so can't give you exact instructions, but Blackboard does take SCORM .zips.  Blackboard's help files will have more information.

Are you having problems with Sum Total?   We have very many users who import their courses into Sum Total.  Can you tell us more about the issue you are having? One known problem for some users is that the Sum Total "SCORM player" takes up several lines and tries to dictate the window size,  and so if you use a 1024x768 template and play it on a 1024x768 screen the bottom will be chopped off. The answer to this is to either turn off the SUM Total player or modify your navigation bar to be smaller. Our technical support can help you with this
