I am trying to recreate a course that was originally developed using Authorware.

 A feature of the course I would like to duplicate in Ududtu is that it controlled access to modules (groups in Ududtu).

 
For example, the course has 4 modules.  On the main menu, the buttons (links) to modules 2-4 are disabled initally.  When the user complete module 1, they return to the main menu and see that the button for module 2 has been activated.

I see there is an option in Ududtu -  "this module is a resource (its screens can only be navigated to with Jump-Tos)"  but I am trying to figure out if there is a way to disable the Jump to buttons, contingent on completion of the previous group, similar to the model I described above(?)

 Any suggestions?

We don't currently have that feature, but it sounds like a good idea.  We'll find a place for it on our to-do list.

You can accomplish something similar by creating a page in front of every module that is in effect a main menu.  For example, the first page of the first module would have list of all the modules in the course.  Only the first module would be hyperlinked, and it would be hyperlinked to the second page of the first module.  The second module would have a similar first page, but with the first two modules hyperlinked (to the second pages of the respective modules).  Doing so would give a fairly similar effect.
