I have not been able to get moodle 1.9.5 to open udutu courses.

 I tried uploading as a myudutu and as a scorm, and I only get junk.  I am not the only person with the problem.

I don't have any admin rights, so I can't adjust anything in moodle, but I can badger the administrators to fix it if I can tell them what to do. 

I have extracted the course and can view it and launch it from my desktop, and have uploaded it using an ftp.  However, I can only see the course from the remote location if I tell it to view the launch.html on the web; it won't work if I link to the launch file or try to open it.

 

What can I do?

We are working on a solution to this issue for our custom Moodle plug-in, as it behaves in 1.9.5.  We hope to have one by the weekend or soon thereafter (it is our highest priority item at the moment). 

It is, as we've discovered, due to a change in how multimedia is handled for Moodle plug-ins (generally) with the newest version of Moodle.  The issue doesn't exist if myUdutu courses are imported through the regular SCORM plug-in that ships with Moodle. 

Until we find a solution, you can import myUdutu courses through the regular SCORM activity module for Moodle 1.95, or with the plug-in using an earlier version of Moodle.  The only difference between the native SCORM import module for Moodle and our custom module is our module pulls directly from a myUdutu server (rather than needing to upload from the course author's PC - an extra step).  Also, the default settings for how the course is loaded are set to the ideal settings for myUdutu imported courses.

I have tried exporting my course as a SCORM and then uploading into moodle as a SCORM but it still doesn't work.

The courses were created last year -- might that be the reason?

It shouldn't make any difference when you created them.  Perhaps the SCORM version on your Moodle installation is different than the one you are extracting.  Try switching SCORM versions on your course before extracting it.  The option can be found in the Course Workspace.

I am using moodle 1.95 and I am able to create a udutu course when i click on the "Create or edit myUdutu course". But when I try to import the udutu course into moodle using "Get myudutu course", i get a server error.

I have tried in multiple PCs (XP, VISTA) with the same results. My moodle is installed on a LINUX PC.

I believe it is the same error as in post

Yes, we have been getting a number of reports on this.  We'll try and figure out what is going wrong.

An alternate way to get your course into your Moodle installation, is just to extract your course and download it to you desktop, and then upload it to your Moodle installation through the 'Browse' button in the myUdutu plug-in.  It's an extra step, but that should get you going.

If these instructions aren't clear, I can elaborate...

Yes, we have been doing this as a workaround. But with a button available, every user who uses our site will start reporting this problem. So am trying to get this resolved before releasing this to our users.
